How to add custom words to Your iPhone’s Autocomplete Dictionary

iphone 4

Tired of auto correct messing up your words. We all like to type smaller words as they are easier and quicker to type. As much as auto correct feature is useful, it can be a nuisance as well. iPhone does provide any way of entering your custom words into the dictionary. Here is however a way;

  1. Go into settings
  2. Select the keyboard option
  3. Tap International Keyboards
  4. Tap Add New Keyboard
  5. Choose a Chinese – Traditional (Pinyin), Japanese Ten Key, or most anything with a Non-Roman character set
  6. Once done, head back to the Keyboard section and you should see a new choice at the bottom: ”Edit User Dictionary” Tap that
  7. Tap the plus sign to add a new word and enter the custom word
  8. Save the new word and you are done!!
Enjoy
