All you need to do is to  download a simple 10mb file (I scanned it online for viruses and result came clean) and it will start recording all the major poker game engines. I usually either play for free on Zynga via Facebook or once in while for money on 888casino. The software was able to record both my games and upload it to my account.

Using Poker Replay

As soon as you install the software, a quick start up guide quickly gives you a brief on how to use this software. Software is available to download as soon as you sign up. The software is built around two elements. First one including a capture module by which you can record your videos. A miniscule window will hover on your top screen. when launched, with and on and off buttons. You can easily start recording from this module and save your recording progress.

The second part includes a editor which enables you to edit your video before uploading. Maybe you do not want to upload the whole 2 hour game or you just want to upload one awesome hand, the editor will let you edit the video however you want it to.

The home page on the software also includes some best rated videos and I must admit, some of them were pretty good. I spent quite some time just looking at some of the videos. Here is a tutorial video if you need to know more, not that I think you need to watch this video. The site and software are pretty simple and easy to use.

Improving your game

As any good poker player may know, the game is not about luck but your ability to judge other’s moves and use it to your advantage. Yes probability plays a huge role, but if you want to be a ruthless winner, you need to be able to read other people’s mind. You can not really do much of that online, in a real life game it is another story /insert Poker Face Joke by Lady Gaga here . Online you need to judge ones moves by the way they play their hands over time.Once you get to know their game, you need to get them to play into your hands. Unnerve the opponents and make him slowly bleed chips. There are so many ways you can do this, which of course you can easily learn and improve on Poker Replay

Poker Replay Community

By uploading your videos, you can easily go over them and see where you made your mistakes. You can learn from your mistakes later on after the game. And for added measure, you can share and discuss it with poker players like you on Poker Replay. The community consists of many poker players and if you want, they have the ability to watch and comment on your videos. A tip or two or a lenghty discussion about a certain gameplay move will come a long way in improving your game.

Is it worth checking out?

I definitely think it is worth checking it out. When I was linked to it earlier, I originally discarded it as another online poker site. Another look proved me wrong. I play quite a lot of poker online with friends (for free mostly as I do not like gambling) and would love to record some ownage Sign up now and have fun. Microsoft is now pushing out Internet Explorer 9 RC update via Windows Update to those who had the beta installed. Assuming you have the correct update settings, you IE9 will have already been updated to RC.

As you may all know, I am a big fan of IE9. I have almost given up using Google Chrome (I still go back sometimes since all my data is saved there). I would highly recommend that you check the new IE9 RC out.

The full IE9 is expected in late march (Q1/2011).

Using Windows 7 Taskbar Color Changer

There’s really not very much to using the application—simply download it, extract it into a folder somewhere, and then launch it. You can choose a color or use the Random button, and then click the Apply button to change the taskbar color.

The color picker is a standard one, and you can choose any color you want.

Just in case you are worried, the application makes a copy of your wallpaper and puts it into a separate folder. The original wallpaper image is untouched and you can switch back to it anytime.

Reverting Your Taskbar Back to Normal

You can quickly revert your taskbar back to normal by just selecting the original wallpaper and setting it as your desktop background again. Which you could also do in Control Panel, or wherever you prefer to set it.

Rotating Between Taskbar Colors

What Grant might not have anticipated is that since the application stores a copy of each color that you try out, you can open up the Desktop Background panel in Control Panel and select most or all of the different wallpaper copies—each with a separate color that you previously chose.

Then Windows 7 will automatically let you shuffle between all of the wallpaper images on a regular basis, which will actually end up just changing the taskbar color, since it’s the same wallpaper.

It’s a rather interesting feature.

VLC is quite a popular among the PC enthusiasts, especially among the open source community. It is pretty good when it comes to a media player. Plays almost any kind of format that exists out there and there is no such need for any kind of codec.

The VLC has one more trick up its sleeve. Using VLC you can now set up a video wall paper. Yes thats right, instead of a static wall paper, you can some thing more entertaining. Here is a guide on how to set up a video as a your wall paper.

Download the VLC here (I uploaded the file version 1.1.2. Sourceforge link is at the bottom of the page.)

Once downloaded. Go in Tools -> Preferences.

Click the Video Button on the left bar.

From the list select DirectX video output.

Save the settings and restart your VLC.

Play a video of you choice. Right click anywhere in the VLC and click DirectX Wallpaper.

Same thing by clicking the Video Menu button and then DirectX Wallpaper.

Note: You may get a warning from the Aero Theme manager and end up switching to basic theme template.

Minimize your VLC and Enjoy the background while you work.

To switch back, Click the DirectX Wallpaper again to uncheck it.

Can’t really think of a way you could implement this in your normal work routine on PC but hey, its good to know that you know how to do it. In case you need to…

Wouldn’t be easier if you could control your PC from your bed. You do not need Infrared Receivers/USB Gadgets and remotes for this purpose. Instead all you need is your iPhone or iPod Touch and a wifi connection to your PC.

What You Need:

• PC (The Software is available for Windows, Mac and Linux. This tutorial covers Windows)
• PC HippoVNC server software. (Linux users can use the included VNC server software)
• HippoRemote Lite app. (Available from the Apple App Store)
• A WiFi router.

Installing the HippoVNC Server

Download the free HippoVNC Server file. (Link Included at the bottom). Choose a folder to extract the file.

And run the WinVNC.exe file.

You may get a Security Warning. Click Allow Access.

Important Step: In the Settings Page, enter a password for the VNC.

Now you will need to obtain the IP address of your host machine. This is only needed if you do not have iTunes installed on your PC. Easiest way to find your IP address is by hovering your mouse over the HippoRemote Lite icon int he System Tray.



Note: If you have iTunes installed, HippoRemote can automatically detect the IP address.

Running HippoVNC as a Service

If you want  HippoVNC to run every time your PC boots, you can run it as a service.  To run HippoVNC as a service, right click on the System Tray icon and select Install Service.

Now connect your iPhone/iPod Touch to your WiFi network. Then open the HippoRemote Lite App and select Add Connection.

Type in the IP Address for host and the password you entered earlier on the HippoVNC Settings window. Tap Done when finished.

You should now see your computer’s IP address appear under Saved Connections. Select it to connect to your PC.

HippoRemote Settings screen will pop up where you can make certain adjustments such as tracking and scrolling speed. Tap the Trackpad button at the top left to switch to the trackpad.

Note: Some options, such as setting macros, are only available in the full (commercial) version of HippoRemote.

Now you’re ready. To move the cursor on the computer screen, flick or drag your finger across the trackpad.

The buttons at the top act as right and left mouse buttons. Simply tap them for right and left mouse clicks.

Selecting the Keyboard button will bring up the onscreen keyboard mode to enter text.

The Split Screen button will give you both the keyboard and trackpad at the same time.

Conclusion

HippoRemote application is a cool way to Control your PC. Just make sure your computer screen is big enough for you to see while you far away sitting on your bed. Works like a charm for me (24″ Wide screen here) when i am watching TV shows/Movies and need to put on next one from my bed itself.
